Giel Sweertvaegher

Photographer born in 1992. I always wanted to become a pilot, but when I was rejected by the Belgian Air Cadets for medical reasons, I had to find another way to get into planes and fly. I choose photography and a year after being rejected I joined the Aviation PhotoCrew. At age 16 I got to shoot jets while hanging out of the back of a Skyvan. Slowly I started to document my travels and more recently I got into automotive photography.

As a day job I teach History to kids aged 15-18, but most of my free time goes into my photography, social media and other related activities. Recently I started reading more and I’m learning to play the piano.

Photography has given me the opportunity to go to new places, meet new people and do fun stuff. It also gave me the chance to work for brands like Mercedes AMG. So if you feel like working together you can shoot me a message!
